Wall Collision Character Gliding

Hi there,

Just wondering, I'd like to tweak the character controls a bit on my Top down motor. I notice the character sliding considerably when colliding with walls at an angle and was wondering if there's a quick fix for this or if you could point me to the code I should be looking at for this.

Wall collision is handled by Unity's Character Controller. Unfortunately, there's no friction value. The way it works is that the motion vector pushing against the wall is ignored, while the motion that moves on the sides is the one that dictates the movement of the character.
