Drawing Weapons takes me out of Crouch State

Navarro Family 4 months ago in Game Creator updated by Marti (Lead Developer) 4 months ago 2

It seems it I first Draw Then Crouch, I can still aim and shoot while in Crouch State.

However if I try to Draw from crouch state, it makes me stand up out of crouching.

Am i doing something wrong or is this a Bug?

Figured it out!  I wasn't using the proper layers. https://support.gamecreator.io/communities/1/topics/591-what-is-the-layer-1-2-3-of-changing-state-action

However upon playing around with it, the Shooter module seems to use all 3 layers at some point, still making it impossible to

crouch and use weapons.  I'm going to dive in and see if I can add more than 3 layers to GC,

Anyone trying to add animation layers, its REALLY EASY!

Just add a "Layer4" enum to the Layer Enum in CharacterAnimation.cs

worked like a charm!

Agree that maybe 3 layers is a bit too little for the entire of the system. I'm working on a prototype where the number of layers is "infinite" (basically you input an integer). However, this is proving to be quite difficult and unstable, so I don't think it will make it into the current release cycle.

Thanks for posting a work around though! Cheers!
