Does Melee works... even without sword?

I know. It's weird. But can the Melee module be useful even if we don't use any sword? For example, a zombie who attacks with his hands?

You could create an empty object with no prefab, and then just a box or sphere for the hit markers. Add in animations, and you should be good to go. Something similar is done with creating a blocking state for a shield.

Good idea ! That's what I've done, and it seems to work fine.

I just have a lot of trouble trying to fit this empty box on my zombie arm. No matter how I modify its Transform in the Prefab, it stays like this (the red box)... How should I do ?

Use rather a sphere collider on the hand and size it a little bigger than the hand. A lot of people don't know that actually a sphere collider is less expensive than a box collider.

Less expensive, you mean, talking about performances? Oh ok, I didn't know that, indeed.

Anyway, I managed to find how fit this collider by changing values in the Melee Weapon. Thanks ! Now, let's move to another big issue x)

Yup, the suggestion is correct. As long as you have the animations, you can bare-fist fight.
