Enemy death or Player game over : what Action can help?

Hi !

When the Player (or any ennemy) has his health bar down to 0, I want him to play a death animation and not moving anymore.

So I made a "Character property: is controllable" set to No, and a "Do gesture" action, but when the death anim has finished, the Player get up again.

Is there any Action which can just freeze him at the end of the anim? How did you do in your games?

I just figured out I should not use "Do gesture" but rather "Animate".

So I just add a death box (named "mort" here), but it still doesn't works, no matter I use a bool or a trigger as parameter.


That's exactly the difference between Character States and Character Gestures: A Gesture simply returns to its previous animation state when it finishes. However, a State will loop.

You can use the Character State action and drop in your "mort" animation clip and the character will lay dead.
