How to use List Variables Loop Action

jhindsight 5 months ago in Game Creator updated 5 months ago 2

Could someone explain how to use the List Variables Loop action correctly? I've created a list variable with 2 strings, i'm trying to loop through this list and print each string but when i click play on Loop List Actions in the screenshot nothing is logged to the console. Am i using this correctly?

Thanks

Sorry, this might not be very intuitive. The Loop List variable is supposed to work with a List Variable of type Game Object. What it does is to execute the selected set of Actions for each game object of the list, and the "Invoker" of the new Actions executed will reference the element of the list.

So for example, if you have a List Variables with 3 objects A, B and C, if you execute an Action that prints the value of the Invoker, it will print:

A

C

Hope this helps!
