Ragdoll head collider issue

EdXL 5 months ago in Game Creator updated 4 months ago 5

Hi, when I tried to enable Character Ragdoll from action (Character model imported from Blender), the head is moving like crazy and I checked the head sphere collider radius generated is very small like 0.13... (Need at least 20 to behave normally)

Similar issue here: https://gamedev.stackexchange.com/questions/164885/why-does-the-head-of-my-ragdoll-act-like-its-about-to-fly-off-its-shoulders

Is it possible to manually adjust head sphere collider radius and position instead of auto generating? Or perhaps it is the blender issue?

Thanks!

Actually I have just temporary fixed the collider radius in code (CharacterRagdoll.cs), it will do for now, thanks.

Would it be possible for you to let me know what line(s) of CharacterRagdoll.cs you edited and what you edited them too? I'm having the same issue. I'm not good with code but I can "monkey see, monkey do".

Hi, I think it is line 469, change radius from 0.25 to the value you want.

Great. The Ragdoll system will undertake some work, as right now it relies on the heuristic calculation of sizes. Instead, it might be better to build it at Editor time, so the volumes of each bones can be precisely tweaked.

Great, looking forward to the updated Ragdoll system in the future:)
