Change Camera Fov doesn't seem to work

Vlastan 5 months ago in Game Creator updated by Marti (Lead Developer) 5 months ago 3

I'm new with  GC and am still experimenting. One of the things i tried recently is using the Change Camera FOV action, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe a bug?

I tried manually executing the action with the play icon on the inspector, but still no luck.

Unity version:
2018.4
Game Creator version:
1.6

I found out why the action didn't take effect. I used to set the starting Fov in the camera motor under its properties.

This way the fov in maincamera is overwritten and the action doesn't work anymore.

Hi Vlastan;

The only reason that this may not be working is because the Action can't find the Main Camera. Did you attach the Camera Controller to your camera?

If you did and still doesn't work, would you mind posting some screenshots walking us through your example scene? If possible, with the least amount of objects so it's easy to understand.

Yup! That could be it. :-) The Camera was probably overwriting the FOV when set to override.
