Inconsistent line endings 'CharacterAnimatorEditor.cs'

A_Dev70 2 weeks ago in Game Creator updated 2 weeks ago 3

I got this error message as soon as GC finished importing "There are inconsistent line endings in the 'Assets/Plugins/GameCreator/Editor/CharacterAnimator.cs' script. Some are MAC OS X (Unix) and some are Windows". What is this error, how to fix it, and more importantly, Will it cause me problems while working in the creation of my games?

Unity version:
2018.4.18f1
Game Creator version:
1.1.5

Hi;

This is a warning from Unity and it won't have any impact on your game. In fact, if you click on the "Clear" button in the Unity console they will be gone for good.

The thing is that Unix and Windows have different characters for script line-endings. We code Game Creator using a Macbook Pro, and you most likely use a Windows machine.

That's why Unity is confused, because it detects line endings from different operative systems. However, it's just a warning and it's fixed automagically for you.

As a side note, I believe that either Unity has an issue with these reports or we have something misconfigured, because these warnings were not fired a few versions ago.

I'll take a thorough look at it, but the outcome is the same: it's not going to impact the performance of your game and it can be wiped out using the Clear button.

Cheers!
