Directional movement not working.

Choomy 2 weeks ago in Other updated by Marti (Lead Developer) 2 weeks ago 2

I've set up a camera, a motor, and a player and I'm able to move the camera around in first person, but the directional movement setting isn't working. I've tried other settings too to no success.
Is there a simpler way to setting up a first person player besides manually making a default unity camera and dragging it onto the player as a child object? My whole assumption is that it's late and I'm doing this wrong ahah.

Unity version:
2019.3.5f1

No Cameras or camera motors should be on the player. you set up the fps camera in the motor itself.

So all cameras outside your player and in a seperate folder.

Click to activate in the camera motor Fps at the top on use motor is main camera motor.

If directional is still not working then check your inputs in Unity project settings.

Or try a brand new project with just GC installed to test the inputs.

Eagleeyez solution is correct. I'd recommend watching our Youtube tutorials. It gives you an overview of all the features Game Creator has in less than 15 minutes.

You'll see what Camera motors are and how simple it is to set up an FPS system. Also, note that Game Creator comes with a bunch of examples. Install them using the Module Manager and play a bit with them.

Cheers!
