Character Follow Path

How can i make a character follow a smooth line path?

Ive been using markers but i find its really linear and point to point, maybe you guys could implement something like this?

Hi Aeon;

The path system will always make characters take the shortest path, which usually is a straight line. However, if the Marker is hidden behind a wall, the character will automatically find the shortest path by going around a corner.

To do this, simply bake a Navigation Mesh and make sure the Character has, under Advanced Properties, the "Use NavMesh" option enabled.

The setting is in a forest so the terrain is pretty smooth and but has  curvy trails,

I wanted the character to follow the trails. 

Could i do that with navigation mesh? (if so how?)

Simply mark your terrain as Static and bake the navigation mesh. Look for Youtube tutorials on this, as it's a pretty common procedure and there are thousands of videos about how to do this.

On the Game Creator side, in order for a Character to use the navigation mesh, all you have to do is to ensure the Character has, under the Advanced Properties section in the Inspector, the "use Navmesh" checkbox enabled.

This will tell Game Creator that, whenever possible, the navigation mesh should be used. Every time you use the "Move Character To", it will automagically find the shortest path to its destination while avoiding obstacles.
