Error : ActionChangeMaterial.cs(22,24): error CS0246

IndieGameHustle 8 months ago in Game Creator updated by Marti (Lead Developer) 8 months ago 3

Hello Team,

I am trying to build and I am seeing this Error -

Image below:

Assets\Plugins\GameCreator\Core\Mono\Actions\Objects\ActionChangeMaterial.cs(22,24): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'NumberProperty' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

I recently upgraded to the GC 1.06.

To be clear, it runs in the Editor fine. It will not Build due to the Error.

Building the game each week has to be successful before I am able to continue.

Thanks in Advance!

Regards

Unity version:
2019.2
Game Creator version:
1.06

I believe I found that root cause of this :

Saw a couple of other people on discord with this issue and the solve was the below.

I made this change and it will now build.

From Discord :

Should I keep this like this? and this will be updated in the next patch?

Regards

i'm having the same issue but game creator isn't enabling it's self and it's not running the game at all. I've updated to 1.06 and reinstalled and restarted a few times.

What cs file to i need to change that line?

Hopefully there'll be a patch soon

Hi guys!

Thanks for the heads up. This error has been fixed in version 1.0.7. As Crispy correctly mentioned, the Variables namespace was only being used if the target platform was Unity Editor, but it should be added for all platforms.

Downloading the latest GC version will get rid of this problem. Sorry for the trouble!
