Yeah, characters are one of the most resource intensive entities of a game. They have to deal with physics, multi-layered animations, behaviors, rendering, high-poly meshes, ... This should be expected. Do not bother with the Stats window, as the Editor adds a lot of overhead.


Even having a simple Stats component open in the Inspector will add overhead to your game. The best is to build the game and check how it runs isolated from the Editor.
