Feet snaps up during Gesture

Crispy 3 weeks ago in Game Creator updated 1 week ago 4

https://streamable.com/t8koq This is what's happening. The feet moving around isn't a problem -- an Avatar Mask solves this https://streamable.com/xop7j . The problem is the feet snapping up then back down. The animations are not the problem: https://streamable.com/2niup

Same results with Feet IK off.

What could be the problem??

Unity version:
2018.4.11f1
Game Creator version:

This is due to the animations not being set up with IK curves. Check out this section in the documentation: https://docs.gamecreator.io/game-creator/game-creator/characters/advanced/ik-in-custom-animations.

If your animations don't have information about the IK pass, but the next animation does, when transitioning from one to the other, the IK pass will make the feet snap to the ground.

The solution is to add the leftFoot_IK and rightFoot_IK curves set to 1 (like an Idle pose).

EDIT: The solution is to add the IK_leftFoot and IK_rightFoot curves set to 1 (like an Idle pose).

Docs said to use IK_leftFoot and IK_rightFoot. I tried your spelling and the docs'. Doesn't work.

Click on the green line with the black background and change the line to a value of 1. By default is set to zero. The correct spelling is the one found on the documentation.

That's what I had. Is this wrong??
