I put the problem wrong. I wanted the player to return to the idle position without having to add an extra touch. But, I believe from the documentation that this is intended to avoid lag time during combat.
Not sure if that's what you mean, but you can add a timeout from the last time the player/character attacked. Once this timeout has passed, you can use the Sheathe action to automatically sheathe the weapon.
