if player character Run Speed >=5 evade animation is not playing

open MeleeExamples Example scene

Run the game and change Player Run Speed value to 5 or  bigger value.

Try to evade.


Melee and Shooter swap

In Shooter module it is very easy to swap between weapons. Is it possible to add the melee sword functionality to the weapon swap actions? For example I want my character to swap between sword and bow functions on tab.

to swap to melee = make a trigger to holster weapon, draw weapon (melee).

to swap back to gun = sheathe weapon, draw weapon (shooter).

Changing character model not working correctly

When I try to change the standard character in your Melee Example for a Synty model, it changes ok but when I press play the new Player draws an "invisible" sword. The animation is there but the sword model and the "slash" FX can't be seen. I can fight the Enemy character and do damage but the sword model is nowhere to be seen. I've checked all the details as best I can and I haven't changed anything except the model. What am I doing wrong?


Melee+Behavior Modules: How can I match AI defensive combos to respond to Player attack combos

I recently purchased your complete set of GC with all modules. I would like to be able to have AI characters with a behavior tree respond to player attacks with specific defensive combos or block animations. For example, if the player attacks with a sword by slashing down from high center, I would like the AI character to be able to respond with an appropriate blocking animation. I think the easiest way to do this would be for the AI to be able to know which Combo attack the player (or another AI character) is using, then the AI behavior tree could determine the correct combo to respond with. Would it be possible to add a conditional If Player A inputs melee attack ___ . then the AI could input melee attack ___ in response.

An alternative would be to add another Add Action option to the Melee Clip labelled On Block or If Block that would then if enable the AI character to execute a specific blocking animation that matches the attacking animation.

Or if you have thought of simpler way for the AI character to execute a specific response animation that better matches the attacking animation (not just the one allowable block animation), please implement it.

the simple way to become immortal in Melee system

the simple way for invincibility is not "draw(or unsheathe)" melee weapon against enemy. until draw melee weapon, enemy can't hit player even he swings his sword or claws perfectly. because enemy never hit player, player never "play" hit reaction" :( she is just standing ghost

the alternative solution for this ghost standing is making invisible weapon and put it her hand. but It can't be absolute solution. even if player can't be ready for fight, enemy must be able to hit player


can I integrate and use "Shooter" and "Melee" at same moment?

sorry to make a lot of questions, but I am really excited Game Creator has infinitely opportunity to make better game with high efficiency.

It is simple question to use "Melee" & "shooter" package at same moment, for example Player hold pistol on right hand and hold knife or Scimitar like pirate captain. usually left mouse button will be used to fire pistol, and other button will be used to swing scimitar.

or maybe I can use sci-fi gun and shield at same moments, hold shield to defend against enemy's bullets. these two-handed melee and range attack patterns will be used action-adventure game especially when players are fighting against a lot of enemies and insane bosses.

is it possible? and is there any good way to use these at same moment?


Setting/Switching Player Focus with Multiple Targets Present

I have been running into an issue when I have multiple Characters in the scene. I am using the Melee Module's Focus Action to have the player focus on characters with a key down triggering the action. The issue I have been having is when I have more than one character in the scene. I currently have the trigger focus set up close to the same way it is set up in the melee example scene. The issue with this method is that it has a predetermined target, and there is no way to change the targets. 

So my question is, what is the best way to set up the Player's focus trigger so that the player can focus on a character if more than one Character is present in the scene, and what would be the best way to set up a trigger that would allow the character to change their current focus to another character.

Unity Crashes when character receives a melee hit

Hi! I'm currently getting this error when I try to create a new melee clip and unity crashes to desktop every time a character receives a hit either from the player or from other characters. Any help would be appreciated!

In move transform there are look at function,i need to set rotate not look at.

I added curvy spline to my project and delete it,after then. all action values and camera values resetted to default it looks like project cannot read the values from my settings

any help for that?
